Time Commitment:  Around 15 hours per month on average
Reimbursement: This is an unpaid voluntary role.  Derbyshire Mind will pay reasonable out of pocket expenses, including travel expenses within the county of Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Mind are recruiting a new Chair of the Board of Trustees. We are looking for a strategic level leader who has a strong interest in mental health and preferably an understanding of the role of the VCSE sector in the health and social care system.  We need someone who can see the bigger picture, is used to working at a senior level, and can lead and motivate our board of trustees.  You will also be able to form an effective leadership partnership with the Chief Executive.

We can offer you the opportunity to develop your strategic leadership skills and learn more about how the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector works.  In this role you will also be making a significant contribution to the work that Derbyshire Mind does to support the mental health of people in Derby and Derbyshire.

We will provide induction, training and support to help you settle into the role and to feel part of the organisation and wider Mind federation.

Derbyshire Mind is a local independent charity within the national Mind federation, with over 50 years’ experience of supporting people in Derby and Derbyshire to maintain good mental health.  We provide a range of advocacy and mental health and wellbeing services designed to support people with mental health problems as well as the wider population.
