Community Activities

In our community-based Live at Home schemes, over 2,600 volunteers help us to provide services to older people, promoting independence and offering different social opportunities such as lunch clubs, befriending, exercise groups and coffee mornings.

We know that your time is precious so we will work with you to make sure you get the most out of your experience with us. From working directly with the groups and running your own sessions, to representing the scheme at local events are many aspects of the organisation you can choose to get involved with!

The range of services offered varies locally depending on the needs of the community. Community drivers and befrienders are also essential. Many people also support us by being part of a local committee helping the scheme to run smoothly.
