Age Concern Chesterfield would like to recruit volunteers to be Community socialiser’s. Their role will be that of a befriender who will be matched with an older person who has become socially isolated but would like to get out more and meet new friends, explore interests etc. The volunteer will then research what is available and accessible and support that person to attend new friendship or interest groups by going with them in the first instance or until that person no longer needs the support of the befriender to do so.
