Cycling Without Age is a community cycling project founded in Denmark in 2012. There are now around 40 local “chapters” in England with over 70 in Scotland. Using our specially built “Trishaws” we take care home residents out for cycle rides in local parks and quiet roads. Its gives them the opportunity to to get out into the fresh air, meet other people, have a good chat and “feel the wind in their hair”.
We currently work with Woodlands care home and Brookholme care home in Chesterfield.

Our project is coordinated by Angela & Chris with a team of volunteer ‘pilots’.
Could you be one of them? Full training given, contact us for more details. Our Triobike is the higher powered version which will easily manage Chesterfield’s undulating terrain! We have a network of mapped traffic free cycle routes for you to use as well as quiet roads.
