Would you like to work with girls and young women to make a difference in your community while developing your skills and making new friends?
If Yes Volunteering with Girlguiding could be for you.
Whatever your skills and interests, and no matter how much time you have to spare, one of our volunteering roles is bound to suit you.
We currently have volunteering opportunities for the following unit:-
3rd Wingerworth Brownies (7-10 Year Old) who meet on a Thursday Night (6.00-7.15pm)
We also have various other opportunities across Derbyshire so please do still enquire as we can discuss these with you
To help give girls opportunities for fun, friendship, challenge and adventure!
Assistant Leaders work with other volunteers to assist in delivering a high-quality programme to the girls and young women in the unit, while ensuring the safety of the unit members. Assistant Leaders will have opportunities for ‘on-the-job’ learning and development.
The responsibilities below will be shared among the Unit Leadership Team. As an Assistant Leader you will work with others in the team to make the most of the skills you are able to give.
Any woman aged 18 or over can be an Assistant Leader. You just need to be, or must be willing to become a member of Girlguiding.
Assistant Leaders will work towards an Adult Leadership Qualification and must register as members and be recorded on GO! (our online database). All Assistant Leaders are attached to a unit.
