Guide Dogs-
What the role includes-
- Arrange collections and other events such as tea parties in your local area. Informing others of how they can get involved. Attending some events when needed.
- Encourage volunteers from the fundraising group to work together.
- Be the key contact for you local fundraising group.
- Encourage others to arrange fundraising activities and events.
- With our guidance you will help to ensure fundraising policies and procedures are being followed.
- You will not be expected to attend every fundriasing activity in your local area.
Where will this role be done-
- You will be doing this volunteer role at home and in the community. The expenses of travel will be covered.
When will you be doing this-
- This can take place when you don’t have any personal commitments.
- Most volunteers in this role normaill commit around 5 to 6 hours per week and to help us and you get the best from this role we will expect you do atleast 12 months.
What we are looking for-
- Minimum of 18 years old.
- Be able to keep enthusiasm and motivate other people.
- Have good communication and networking skills.
- Have a passion for organising the events.
What we will do to support you-
- We will cover your volunteering expenses.
- We will give you a named role manager who you can contact and they will support your volunteering.
- Inductions to the role.
- Training for around 4 hours will be delivered by video call and through e learning and alternative formats are available and some refresher training will be required on a yearly basis.
What we will ask-
- To help safeguard and protect everyone at Guide Dogs. You need identity and references and a interview.
- To safeguard and promote welfare of all.
- To meet the Volunteer Agreement.
