Home Start Volunteer

Parenting is tough — especially without support. At Home-Start, we believe every family deserves someone to turn to. That someone could be you! As a Home-Start volunteer, you’ll offer friendly, confidential, and compassionate support to families with young children who are facing challenging times in Chesterfield and Northeast Derbyshire. What You’ll Do: Visit families in their own homes; listen, encourage, and offer emotional and practical support; help parents build confidence and strengthen their relationships with their children. Support: Full training and ongoing support from our experienced team; Opportunities to develop new skills and gain valuable experience; You don’t need to be a parenting expert just a good listener with a few hours to spare each week and a big heart.
