National Stone Centre
The National Stone Centre is a charitable organisation located in a wonderful 40 acre site which houses a number of disused quarries, the Millennium wall, an abundance of wildlife, walking trail and interesting geological aspects such as fossils. The site is primarily aimed at education for all ages and attracts over 2000 schoolchildren a year. There are also a number of courses for adults run from the centre such as dry stonewalling.
We are looking for a volunteer who is self motivated, organised and happy to carry out work with the absolute minimum of supervision.
