RSPCA Chesterfield & North Derbyshire
The RSPCA Chesterfield & North Derbyshire Branch have an exciting opportunity for a volunteer driver who would be able to commit a regular day weekly or fortnightly to help us. A weekday or weekend is optional but would need to be flexible around when the centre staff need the van for adoptions etc.
Duties would include:
– Collecting donations from the drop-off points in the supermarkets around Chesterfield
– Collecting donations from MOP homes in and around Chesterfield
– Occasional deliveries of stock to the Charity Shop
These duties will involve lifting and carrying so the volunteer(s) needs to be physically able to carry out the work.
Experience of driving a transit van or similar would be desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
You must hold a valid UK driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving course and annual licence checks, as well as general health & safety, manual handling and fire safety online training courses.
This is classed as a public facing role as you will be out in the community representing the branch, so a positive, friendly and approachable attitude is required!
